I can actually see more people being pushed towards driving because of the horrific state of our public transport and the cost of taking a taxi these days, with the ever confusing surcharges piled on high.

Poor ppl like me who dunno how to drive have no choice but to take public transport lor

you know, the other day, I was in a CNG cab, chatting with the cabby

the cabby says with CNG, he clocks about 340km on a full tank of gas, which costs $20

plus, he gets a rebate off his road taxes, previously, with diesel, he was paying $3000 for 6 months, now he pays $600 for the same period of time ....

idea neh ...

i'm thinking of this too... considering in pure $$ i get about 6.6km per dollar.. he gets 17km per dollar...

suddenly the fugly CNG Toyota Wish becomes pretty cool

the Prius gets 23.5km per litre still goes to be around slightly more than 10km per dollar...

I remember some minister (Raymond Lim, methinks) once claimed that ERP has actually 'helped car ownership'.

His logic was that ERP = less congested roads = more people are willing to buy cars.

Which also means that..... ERP has failed in its primary objective to control traffic.

I think they'll say its to discourage car ownership so the roads won't be so congested.

i just want my box on wheels to transport flashes that i'll use for shoots which earn me money.

i don't think CNG has a duty component to it..

so they will find some way to tax it...

notice if they were so "green" they'd give better tax breaks for hybrid cars like the Civic and Prius.. but they are not doing anything.. because less petrol used = less revenue

actually it's 1/2 done for public tpt before everything come into place, force w/ more ERP They've alrdy admitted e current MRT system cannot be expanded overnight

dun worry about that.

if it is that flammabe then alot of mishaps would have happened in thailand already.

service it, take care of it, it will be alright.

you can get it converted for around 3 to 3.5k ....

will lose a bit of boot space though

don't worry...

in Mythbusters, they tried to blow up a propane tank..

they fired 9mm, M1-Gaurant, shotgun with pellets and slug.. all failed to blow it up..

the only managed to do so by using a minigun with about 1,000 incendiary rounds...

collect nerver mind...if it comes back to people who pays for it in first place eg better facilities etc. but now you pay and you get nothing or worst facilities!
